North Ayrshire Council’s Business Development team which includes Business Gateway has space available for start-up’s at its new premises at Quarry Road, Irvine.

Located iust 30 minutes from Glasgow, in a prime location in Irvine town centre, the new, contemporary office building offers flexible and collaborative working space for small start-ups and social enterprises who are looking to bring their business ideas to life.

It’s a low cost, modern, flexible working space for new, local and early stage growth businesses who currently don’t have commercial premises. It provides companies with access to on-site Business Advisor expertise, as well as co-working opportunities with other like-minded businesses.

By taking a space at the hub, our Business Advisers can offer help with fulfilling business plans and, subject to eligibility criteria, support with accessing funding and specialist consultancy support. The suite of free Business Gateway workshops, online resources and market research service will also be available to help start-ups on their journey.

Membership for the first month is free and each member of the hub will benefit from the following services:

The Council realises the critical role played by small businesses in growing our local economy.

Councillor Alex Gallagher, Cabinet Member for Economy, North Ayrshire Council, said: “We are committed to supporting the growth and impact of new enterprise, and the new office accommodation is a valuable addition to the extensive suite of business support we currently provide.”

“With space for up to 16 businesses, members of the hub, will work with a dedicated Business Adviser, and our wider Team North Ayrshire partners, to create a growth action plan to help their firm to flourish.

Team North Ayrshire – business experts from the public and private sector – have done some fantastic work helping local firms. They’ve helped create a really supportive and inclusive environment which puts us in a really strong position to take advantage of potential investments.

Since it was launched in November 2013, Team North Ayrshire’s innovative approach to business development and economic growth is paying off across North Ayrshire.

They have proved that by collaborating together and offering bespoke packages of support and expertise for business they have developed more in-depth relationships with companies which has helped them to grow and become more competitive.
