Nonstop flights from Scotland to Atlanta, Boston and New York-JFK with Delta.

As part of its biggest ever trans-Atlantic summer schedule, Delta is restarting nonstop service from Edinburgh to Boston, beginning May 10 and from Edinburgh to Atlanta, effective May 24. The returning flights will round out the existing schedule of daily nonstop services to New York-JFK.

A wider network

With nonstop service from Scotland to three U.S. gateways, there is a vast network of convenient connections on offer to more than 70 onward destinations across the United States. This includes one-stop connections to the west coast cities of Los Angeles and San Francisco, Washington D.C., Houston and Detroit. As Boston’s premier global airline, Delta serves all the top 20 domestic destinations from its Boston hub.

Meanwhile, inbound tourism to Scotland is set for a boost thanks to thousands of additional weekly seats available on Delta for customers throughout America. The U.S. continues to be the top market for international visitors to Scotland outside of Europe, attracted by the nation’s history, unique culture, warm hospitality and famous events such as the Scottish Open.

Experience elevated

Delta’s flights from Scotland are operated using Boeing 767-300 aircraft featuring all four cabin experiences: Delta One®, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin.

Delta One customers enjoy fully flat-bed seats with individual aisle access and luxuriously soft bedding made using 100% recycled materials. Hand-crafted artisanal amenity kits are helping Delta reduce single-use plastic waste, while noise cancelling headsets help make 1,000+ hours of Delta Studio entertainment even more enjoyable.

Delta Premium Select is a new superior cabin that offers enhanced comfort on international routes. Wider seats offer more legroom and a deeper recline, with adjustable leg- and footrests to help customers stretch out and put their feet up. Customers enjoy enhanced dining options and access to select Sky Priority services at the airport.

To ensure a restaurant-style experience in the sky, Delta works with celebrated chefs and food-service specialists who bring their renowned talents to Delta’s Culinary Council, a dedicated group of culinary experts who help guide Delta’s onboard food and beverage strategy. Customers flying in Delta One and Delta Premium Select can pre-select their preferred choice of entrée before they fly, helping create a more personalized experience on board. Meals are accompanied by a selection of wines, beer, spirits, soft drinks and Starbucks Coffee.

Airport investment

Later this year, customers can look forward to an upgraded experience on the ground. Delta’s long-awaited premium lounge experience will bring a new, heightened level of service and hospitality to customers in New York-JFK, Los Angeles and Boston. The first premium lounge will open in Delta’s JFK hub and will feature a full-service brasserie and casual, chef-assisted dining with open kitchens, dedicated wellness areas and more.

Last year, Delta opened a new Sky Club on Concourse E at Boston’s Logan Airport, a nearly 21,000-square-foot space that offers sweeping views of the city’s historic harbour and 21st century skyline.

Always innovating

More than 200 million customers fly on Delta each year and the airline has created Delta Sync to acknowledge each of them in a meaningful way. Delta Sync is seamlessly integrated with SkyMiles membership and the Fly Delta app, creating the ultimate personalized experience in the sky. On most U.S. domestic flights, Delta Sync is now delivering fast-free Wi-Fi for SkyMiles customers, while Delta Sync seatback is being rolled out across more fleet types to make seat-back screens feel more like smart TVs. Free Wi-Fi will be rolled out across Delta’s international fleet throughout 2024 and beyond.

To make travel smoother across the journey, the Fly Delta app is packed with handy features such as flight status updates, wayfinding maps, upgrades, rebooking and more to enable customers to manage their travel on the go. The app offers a virtual queuing tool, so customers know exactly when to head to the gate and even syncs to the RFID bag tags on checked bags, so customers can pinpoint their suitcase’s location.

On all Delta flights, customer enjoy free mobile messaging via iMessage, WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger1 and Wi-Fi is available for a fee on international routes.
