Lanarkshire Chamber of Commerce is back and here to stay! With a variety of membership options, different event formats and member benefits, we are be the go-to place for businesses in Lanarkshire wherever they are on their business life cycle. Whether you’re starting out in business and looking for advice and guidance, or you’re ready to grow an already successful business, the Chamber is here to help. If you wish to make connections or have a say in what’s happening in Lanarkshire’s economy, your Chamber of Commerce is here for you.
Shaping the Chamber for the Future
At Lanarkshire Chamber of Commerce, we are committed to building something slightly different – a chamber designed to meet the evolving needs of today’s businesses. Of course, we remain the trusted voice of the business community, representing the interests of organisations across Lanarkshire and strengthening connections with both local and national government.
But we recognised that in a modern business environment, being a chamber is about more than advocacy alone. It is about creating a network of practical support, actionable insight, and meaningful opportunities for growth. That’s why we have been developing a new model: one that brings together the expertise of a wide range of sectors into an accessible, member-focused advisory board.
The Work So Far: Building an Expert Advisory Panel
Central to this transformation has been our work in assembling a panel of highly experienced business leaders from diverse sectors. These trusted advisors are not only sector specialists but also approachable points of contact for businesses across Lanarkshire.
This means that whether you are a sole trader looking for marketing advice, a manufacturing firm exploring sustainability strategies, or a professional services provider navigating regulation, there is always a knowledgeable partner within the Chamber ready to offer support.
By creating this structure, we are ensuring that businesses of all sizes have clear, simple access to guidance whenever it’s needed – helping to remove barriers, accelerate learning, and strengthen Lanarkshire’s economic ecosystem.
A Dynamic Events Calendar
Events are the lifeblood of any Chamber of Commerce, and in Lanarkshire, we are proud to offer a full and diverse programme to our members and wider community. We have recently launched our calendar of weekly, monthly, bi-monthly, and quarterly events, each designed to deliver value in different ways.
Weekly networking meetups foster personal connections and give smaller firms the chance to raise their profile.
Monthly learning sessions focus on timely themes, from digital innovation to financial planning.
Bi-monthly forums create space for more in-depth discussion and sector-specific panels.
Quarterly flagship events bring together the full breadth of our membership for thought leadership, keynote speakers, and high-level networking.
This rhythm ensures that whether you are seeking regular touchpoints or major milestone events, the Lanarkshire Chamber provides opportunities to connect, collaborate, and grow throughout the year.
The Masters Series: Podcasting for Practical Insight
Another exciting development is the forthcoming launch of our Masters Series Podcast. This innovative project takes the knowledge of our advisory board and makes it accessible to the entire business community.
Each episode will feature one of our panel businesses, sharing tangible, actionable advice that listeners can apply directly to their organisations. From leadership lessons to practical marketing tips, the series will provide a library of trusted guidance.
By producing these podcasts in video as well as audio formats, we are also helping to put faces to names – fostering familiarity and strengthening community ties within the Chamber. This initiative is not just about content; it’s about connection.
Facilities Designed for Business Success
Alongside these programmes, we have invested in creating a physical space in Hamilton that serves as a hub for our members. After a full renovation, our offices now offer a flexible range of facilities that can be booked for business use.
A large event space with capacity for 40–50 people, ideal for training sessions, seminars, or networking gatherings.
A smaller meeting room, perfectly suited for team catch-ups, client pitches, or workshops.
A hot desk facility, available on daily, weekly, or monthly contracts, supporting hybrid workers and small businesses in need of a professional base.
A fully equipped podcast studio, available either as a hireable shell for self-use or as part of a complete, done-for-you production service. This enables businesses to create high-quality, fully produced podcast series without the technical burden.
These facilities represent more than bricks and mortar – they are a symbol of our commitment to creating a vibrant, collaborative, and supportive business environment in Lanarkshire.
Looking Ahead
The Lanarkshire Chamber of Commerce is still evolving, but our foundations are strong. By combining expert-led support, a packed programme of events, innovative digital initiatives, and modern facilities, we are creating a Chamber that is practical, inclusive, and forward-looking.
We believe this model sets a new benchmark for what a Chamber of Commerce can be: not only a voice for business but also an active enabler of success at every stage of the journey.
