An Ayrshire technology company is helping transform how Scotland’s residential care and specialist education sector records and improves outcomes for children and young people.
Developed by The Solutions on Demand Group in partnership with the University of Strathclyde, Geco Connect is an AI-enabled platform built around Scotland’s GIRFEC framework, SHANARRI wellbeing indicators, and the wider ambitions of The Promise.
Already being adopted by organisations across Scotland, the platform is designed to reduce administrative pressure on frontline teams while improving the quality, consistency, and visibility of reporting across care, education, and wellbeing services.
Rather than staff recording the same information across multiple disconnected systems, Geco Connect creates a single operational workflow where information is captured once and reused throughout the organisation.
The result is less duplicated paperwork, improved inspection readiness, stronger communication with local authorities, and more time for staff to focus on supporting children and young people.
