Bipolar Scotland inspires hope and recovery, and strives to ensure no-one faces this severe and enduring mental health condition alone.
Founded in 1992 to provide a much-needed safe space to share experiences of living with the condition, we remain the only national charity in Scotland dedicated to supporting people living with bipolar.
Each year we work with over 2000 people from across Scotland. We provide dedicated, informed and life-changing support, advice and information, enabling people to live well with the condition. Our work extends to friends and family members, as well as employers, research teams and health professionals who draw on our expertise.
Across Scotland we:
- facilitate confidential peer support groups, connecting individuals and their loved ones to a community of support
- deliver self management training to equip and empower people to take back control of their lives and promote wellbeing
- offer a Beyond Diagnosis support service enabling individuals to come to terms with their diagnosis and the magnitude of living with a severe and enduring lifelong condition
- offer 1-1 peer support at any stage pre or post diagnosis
- raise awareness and offer training to improve knowledge and understanding of bipolar, reducing stigma and isolation
Our vital work is only made possible through the generosity of our valued supporters. If you would like more information or to support our work by becoming a corporate partner, please contact Marie Tiffoney at mariet@bipolarscotland.org.uk or call us on 0141 560 2050.
