The Association of University Engineers (AUE) was founded in 1970 by a group of university engineers who aimed to form a network of like-minded people. This association helps the engineers to share knowledge & skills, assist in the advancement of universities’ estates and keep up to date with the latest technologies.

The conference is hosted by a different university every year and this year, it will be hosted by the University of Stirling.  The 50th annual AUE conference will be held between the 7th – 9th of September 2022 after being delayed for two years due to the pandemic. The programme of the conference is very engaging and entertaining consisting of three days of meetings, excursions, workshops, plenary sessions and networking dinners. The gala dinner for this year will be at the iconic Stirling Castle.

A major part of the AUE conference is connecting university engineers with industry leaders through the speaking sessions and the exhibition. 45 companies will be exhibiting at the conference. Wilson Power Solutions, the manufacturer of the UK’s most energy-efficient distribution transformer will be exhibiting at stand 42.

Ayah Alfawaris, energy policy & marketing manager of Wilson Power Solutions will be delivering a workshop on September 8th about Advancing Net Zero Through Ultra Low Loss transformers. Attendees will get introduced to a new way of saving energy and reducing carbon emissions through transformers available on universities’ grid networks.
