Asthma and Allergy Foundation is proud to announce our upcoming Fragrance-Free Awareness Day on June 13th. This event aims to educate the public about the potential dangers that fragrances can pose to individuals with asthma and other respiratory problems.

Fragrances, commonly found in a variety of personal care and household products, can trigger severe reactions in people with asthma and other respiratory conditions. Exposure to fragrances can lead to increased asthma symptoms, difficulty breathing, and even life-threatening attacks.

“Many people are unaware of the significant impact that fragrances can have on those with asthma and other respiratory issues,” said Vicki McGrain Rae, Head of Services and Health Promotion. “Our goal with Fragrance-Free Awareness Day is to raise awareness and encourage individuals to be more mindful of the products they use, both at home and in public spaces.”

“By working together, we can create a more inclusive and accessible world for individuals with asthma and other respiratory problems. “Fragrance-Free Awareness Day is an important step in that direction, and we encourage everyone to join us in this effort,” said Martina Chukwuma-Ezike, Chief Executive, Asthma and Allergy Foundation.
