Strathclyde Business School’s MBA programme consistently ranks among the top in the UK and globally, and the business school is known worldwide for its MBA programmes: this year, the business school is delighted to be marking 50 years of the Executive (part-time) MBA and 60 years of its full-time MBA.
The part-time programme allows participants to ‘earn while they earn’ with classes offered as intensive weekend seminars delivered on campus in Glasgow – students are expected to attend up to 8 of these sessions each year. Off-campus learning and support is facilitated by Strathclyde’s virtual learning environment.
The Executive MBA timetable has been designed for busy executives who need to combine career and family commitments with the demands of MBA studies. The flexibility of the part-time approach enables most participants to graduate within two years. However, study may be spread over a longer period if necessary, to a maximum of five years.
A highlight of the Strathclyde calendar is the annual MBA Summer School which takes place in Glasgow, over May and June. The summer school is open to all study routes of the MBA who have reached the elective stage of the programme. It’s a great way to accelerate your studies and network with a large group of international colleagues from the full-time MBA and Strathclyde’s international centres.
There are two intakes per year for the Strathclyde Executive MBA in Glasgow, with the next one starting in September 2026. The Strathclyde MBA offers an opportunity to gain a valued and well-established management qualification in a way that’s best suited to an individual’s professional and personal circumstances.
Strathclyde has organised two information sessions to provide more information – in these sessions, Mary Galbraith, Executive MBA Director, will offer an overview of the programme and provide insights into what to expect when starting the programme. Jane Hammond, MBA Career Advisor, will provide a glimpse of the services and events offered by the Strathclyde MBA careers team throughout the year and after graduation. A member of the business school’s admissions team will also be available to address any queries about the admissions process.
There are two sessions to choose from, organised for early evening and lunch – register to start your MBA journey:
MBA Information Session 26th August 6 -7pm
MBA Information Session 9th September 1 – 2.30pm
