Phlo named one of Scotland’s fastest growing companies

Phlo, the UK’s leading digital healthtech provider headquartered in Glasgow and employing over 130 people across the UK, has been featured in The Sunday Times Scotland Fast 50 inaugural list of the 50 fastest growing Scottish companies.

Phlo’s inclusion in The Sunday Times Scotland Fast 50 is a testament to the rapid expansion of its weight loss services and broader digital pharmacy and health services, including its API-driven infrastructure platform, Phlo Connect, which powers the consumer healthcare services for brands like Morrisons Supermarket, Holland and Barrett and Jane Plan. This reflects Phlo’s wider mission to modernise healthcare through its industry-leading healthtech solutions.

The Sunday Times Scotland Fast 50 celebrates Scotland’s 50 fastest-growing private companies, spotlighting businesses that are scaling successfully at both speed and scale across every sector of the Scottish economy.

Phlo achieved 221.1% year on year revenue growth between FY2025 and FY2026, partly thanks to recent milestones, including a recent partnership with Holland & Barrett for which Phlo built and operates the clinical and technology infrastructure powering the retailer’s newly launched weight management service. Its direct-to-consumer platform Phlo Clinic saw an increase in sales of 114% year-on-year. Phlo also launched BrightTrack, a free app GLP-1 companion app which helps GLP-1 users navigate their weight loss journey via insights, dose tracking and symptom management.

Adam Hunter, CEO of Phlo, commented: “Being named on the first Sunday Times Scotland Fast 50 means a lot, and the credit sits squarely with our team. They’ve built and fostered Phlo’s reputation and the trust which patients place in us. It matters all the more because this is where we started and where we’ve chosen to build.

There’s an old-fashioned yet persistent view that business can’t scale outside of London, that the talent and the capital sit elsewhere. We’ve never accepted that at Phlo. Scotland produces some of the best talent in the country, and our growth story over the last several years shows you can create high-value jobs here in Scotland and keep that talent at home rather than watching it head south or outside of the UK.

We hope that being a part of The Sunday Times Scotland Fast 50 alongside so many other great Scottish businesses makes the case that Scotland remains one of the best places in the UK to build a business”

Phlo’s success has been supported by external investment from PXN, Thairm Bio and Scottish Enterprise, alongside its expansion into major UK hubs including Glasgow, London and Manchester. Phlo is led by CEO Adam Hunter, a founding team member who has driven the company’s commercial growth since launch, and COO Alistair Murray, whose expertise spans pharmacy operations and technology-led healthcare transformation.
