On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and in the framework of the World Chambers Congress 2023, SCC participated in a high-level discussion on “Business and Human Rights” with guest speaker Volker Türk, High-Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).
The high-level discussion highlighted the role of the private sector in promoting and respecting human rights around the world. The Chamber Network collectively urged governments and agencies to engage with the business community to share the experiences in the design and management of human rights commitments.
