What is it about Stirling that makes it such an attractive place to do business?!

I have been involved in the Stirling Office market since 2006, taking us through good times, bad times and you could also say unprecedented times as we emerge from the Global Pandemic. In my experience, Stirling has always held up better than most other established office locations across Scotland whenever there are headwinds faced by the wider economy and from the last couple of years in Stirling you could certainly say the proof is in the pudding.

M&G’s commitment to Stirling in 2021 saw them take a pre-let over 77,000 sq ft of new office space at SDA’s Kildean Business Park in one of the largest transactions recorded in Stirling for many years. We successfully sold the 20,500 sq ft headquarter office building, Maxxium House on Castle Business Park in 2021 in another deal which was struck right in the midst of the Pandemic with medical microwave technology company, Emblation Ltd securing the building for their own HQ relocation from Alloa. Whilst other regional markets were struggling to attract occupiers, Stirling continued to thrive – why is this?

Location location location…. this is arguably one of Stirling’s trump cards in attracting occupiers who are looking for a location which not only covers the Central Belt and South Scotland / North England, but being the Gateway to the Highlands, also lets them easily service Northern Scotland. Add to that availability of an educated workforce and the fact that Stirling always ranks highly versus other UK locations in any quality of life surveys and you can easily make a compelling case to locate your business in the former capital.
