Unlocking Opportunity: Scottish Chambers Unite for Scotland – Canada Business Week 2026

Inverness Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Edinburgh and West Highland Chambers, is pleased to announce Scotland–Canada Business Week 2026. Scottish companies are invited to register their interest in connecting with Canadian firms seeking new partnerships and opportunities across Scotland.

Supported by the Scottish Government and Scottish Chambers of Commerce International Trade Partnership programme, this initiative offers a unique opportunity to connect with Canadian businesses looking for new export or investment opportunities. The UK is Canada’s largest European investment destination, making Scotland a natural partner for trade and innovation.

Scotland’s relationship with Canada extends well beyond our traditional cultural connections. Canada is now a significant business partner across key sectors including engineering, food and drink, and renewable energy. Scottish expertise is already making an impact overseas and now is a perfect time to showcase what we have to offer.

Canada ranks the UK as its third largest trading partner, after the United States and China. In 2024 alone, Canada exported $28.3 billion worth of goods to the UK and imported $9.2 billion in return. While this is significant, the UK still accounts for only a small share of Canada’s global trade, just 3.6% of Canadian exports and 1.2% of imports. This means there is huge potential for growth, and Scotland is perfectly positioned to strengthen these ties.
