Travelknowhow Scotland is proud to announce its latest case study showcasing its partnership with Glasgow Kelvin College to support active and sustainable travel amongst students and staff.
Glasgow Kelvin College has become the latest organisation to benefit from Travelknowhow Scotland’s free active and sustainable travel planning consultancy, helping the college in its goals to reduce its carbon footprint and promote healthier, more environmentally friendly commuting options for students and staff.
The partnership saw Travelknowhow Scotland build on Glasgow Kelvin College’s existing measures to change travel behaviour through the development of a bespoke active and sustainable travel plan. This travel plan introduced new measures to encourage walking, cycling, and public transport use, offering practical solutions to reduce reliance on private cars, improve air quality, and enhance overall wellbeing.
Travelknowhow Scotland has released the below case study video to share further insight into the partnership:
Sarah Shea, Environmental Sustainability Manager at Glasgow Kelvin College, commented: “The advice and the plan that Travelknowhow Scotland provided us has been invaluable. They have been able to give us specific and precise targets – and tools. It’s nice to have that expertise and background when we are making these goals and commitments.”
Travelknowhow Scotland offers free consultancy time to Scottish workplaces to help them to encourage and support more active and sustainable travel choices.
Shona Drummond, Travelknowhow Scotland, added: “We offer organisations free practical support to transition to net zero, working in partnership with individual organisations to understand travel patterns and develop meaningful and bespoke measures to encourage more active and sustainable travel.”
