H&I Chamber of Commerce Dinner 2023

On Friday 19th May, we were delighted to welcome almost 300 guests to the Drumossie Hotel for our flagship Highland Business Dinner.

Attendees were given a warm Scottish welcome by Spud the Piper, before being regaled by our rhyming MC Liam Christie. After a heartfelt farewell speech from Stewart Nicol, and a celebration of Chamber members from President Eunice McAdam, we were moved by an emotional film highlighting the importance of our chosen charity, The Oxygen Works. Guests were then treated to beautiful fine dining by the Drumossie team, who provided impeccable service throughout.

After dinner, the whole audience was captivated by our guest speaker, wildlife filmmaker and presenter, Gordon Buchanan. Gordon’s stories from his fascinating career were insightful, moving, and completely hilarious, and as our MC put it, you could hear a pin drop!

The evening ended on a high as a lucky few won prizes in our Charity Prize Draw, which raised a fantastic £3870 for The Oxygen Works. Thank you to Àban Outdoor, Air France KLM, AC Inverness, Logical Print & Document Solutions, Kingsmills Hotel, Inverness Tyre Services, Camanachd Association, Secret Glamping Caithness, and Frank Nicol Farm & Garden Machinery for donating prizes.

Thank you to our sponsors Highland and Islands Enterprise, Nevis Range, and The Tomatin Distillery. Further thanks to everyone else who made the evening possible behind the scenes: Highland Print & Design, Redelk Design and Marketing, Simpsons Florists, and Story + Stage.

Thank you also to Ewen Weatherspoon, who has taken all photos featured.
