Amidst a packed out Solar & Storage Live event, the UK’s largest renewable energy conference and exhibition this year, Wilson Power Solutions have scooped up the Networks and Connections Award at the annual Solar & Storage Live Awards.
The award ceremony took place on Wednesday 19th October, where over 500 guests celebrated 13 category winners at a black-tie gala dinner at the Hilton Metropole. The event recognises the very best and most impactful solar and storage projects and contributors the UK has to offer, with Wilson Power Solutions being named best in class in the Networks and Connections category.
The award win recognises Wilson Power Solutions’ work within the solar, BESS and EV charging industries, proving testament to the company’s project management standards, adaptive product lines and delivery and installation techniques to enable the connection of many essential renewable projects. Wilson Power Solutions provided transformers to projects such as 40x 2.8MVA 33kV/480V distribution transformers to a 98MW/196MWh BESS project in Yorkshire. The company had success installing large power transformers to solar farms across the country, including a 140MVA 132kV/33kV power transformer and an innovative design of two transformers in one tank, which undoubtedly attributed to the accolade win. In addition to renewables, Wilson Power Solutions supply custom designed and built transformers to EV Electric Forecourts across the country.
