Offering Staff training and development programmes may seem like a pretty big investment, even more so in the current economic climate. As business costs rise, budgets are tighter and finding the funds for staff development is becoming increasingly challenging.

University of the West of Scotland (UWS) is committed to supporting local businesses by providing accessible, innovative and industry-led  solutions, including fully funded and part-funded training courses, via the UWS Upskilling Fund.

The UWS Upskilling Fund is a training and development fund delivered by the Scottish Funding Council, and aims to tackle skills gaps across the country by subsiding fees on in-demand training courses.

The UWS Centre for Continuing Professional Development boasts a vast catalogue of flexible short courses that will support you to future proof your workforce.

Courses with funded places remaining for September include: Digital Marketing Practice, Enterprise Creation, Equality Diversity and Inclusion, Leadership & Change, SFEDI Diploma in Business and Enterprise Support and more.

To view the full list of short courses where Upskilling funding is available, visit the UWS CPD Website.

Funding is available to those who are living in Scotland, or to those who are working for an organisation operating (with a business address) in Scotland. Full eligibility criteria can be found here.

Applications for funded places will close on the 19th of August, at which point applicants will enter a screening process to ensure the eligibility criteria is met.
